What does the division of the balance responsibility role involve?

The balance responsibility role will be divided into two parts, Balance Responsible Party (BRP) and Balance Service Provider (BSP). Once divided, the division of responsibilities will change as illustrated.

Definitions

• 'Balance Responsible Party' (BRP) means a market participant or his/her appointed representative responsible for the actor’s imbalances.
• 'Balance Service Provider' (BSP) means a market actor with units or groups providing reserves and who are able to offer balancing services to Svenska kraftnät, the TSO of the Swedish transmission system.
